I think we must always ask who has the most to gain from inflation being low? Government because they can create money until the public catch on.

Who has creates the inflation statistics? The very same people as those who benefit most!

I think we can safely regards government statistics as the worst of lies.

I consider gold, M2, and M3 (no longer available) to be a better measure of inflation than the CPI.

You will have to judge their numbers for yourself. Here is some evidence to indicate that most if not all statistics are blatant lies:

1. Inflation numbers exclude fuel and food because they vary too much. They only vary as people constantly consume fuel and food.

2. Presidents force their advisors to submit and resubmit data that does not look correct.

3. The government makes weird adjustments for all sorts of reasons like future projected variability.

4. Comparisons are made only with last year.
