I'm looking for literature (essays, letters, speeches) on rhetoric during the Revolutionary Era and Civil War Era. I've been searching but haven't found much that's specifically useful to this subject.

Are you looking for compilations of the actual documents that you can read or are you looking for a bibilography of such lists?  If it is the latter, take a look at the bibilographies in Rothbards, Conceived in Liberty, for Revolutionary era materials.  All four volumes are available online on mises.org.  Good luck.

You may also want t check the Avalon Project at Yale:  http://avalon.law.yale.edu/default.asp  It has a lot of original documents that are available online.
