Hmmmmmmmm
I had a thought. I read Alex Jones website because I can sometimes get interesting stories that are hard to find anywhere else, but I really do not agree with him on alot. I am a long time regular reader from lewrockwell's website. I have found no other, better source for libertarian thought than maybe this one for economics.
Jones accuses people in the world to be out to get him, smear him and shut him down. Odd thing is, Lew Rockwell is much more radical in thought and deed. I do not see anyone trying to stop Lew or anyone else associated with his site. When I google his name, I find one complaint against him.
My question is, why has no one tried to stop Lew? Why has no one tried to shut him down or censor him? It seems to me, Alex is all talk and no action.
Is it because Lew is respectful while Alex is not? What do you think about the contrast between the two. I have never met Lew, but he seems like a great guy.
People take shots at Mr Rockwell all the time, from charges of racism to Neo-Nazi (Tom Palmer).

Alex Jones is just lying. I mean the guy has on David Icke -- he couldn't be that interested in truth. Or expect his listeners to be.
Lew is obviously an agent of Bilderberg out to plant misinformation, I know that he has been to Bohemian grove where he plots with the descendants of Scrooge McDuck about how best to bring about global enslavement.
Roy Munson:I know that he has been to Bohemian grove where he plots with the descendants of Scrooge McDuck about how best to bring about global enslavement.
Ha!
I was not implying that. I was just thinking, it seems odd, how calm and cool Lew appears while Alex looks like a scared rabbit and like he is all p@ssed off at someone or something. Also he has such a huge following even among those I work with, while Lew is quite unknown.
I actually would be a little scared if I was Lew. I try to stay quiet and to my self.
John Ess:I mean the guy has on David Icke
Icke has a lot of crankery, but he also has some great ideas.
It is a typical disinfo tactic to train people to reject controversy. I'm not saying you are doing it consciously, but I see this on the internet all the time.
Ron Paul says we should end the FED. But didn't he have those newsletters? And so that discredits the notion of talking about the FED.
Alex Jones exaggerates. And he talks about Bilderberg. Therefore, Bilderberg is a conspiracy theory.
David Icke is into Sumerian reptile people. And he talks about the Hegelian Dialectic. Therefore problem => Reaction => Solution doesn't exist.
I dislike how AJ acts like an idiot and exaggerates, because it makes him harder to use as an authoritative source, precisely because of how people have been trained to judge controversy instead of critical thinking.
I'm not a big Icke fan, but I have watched some of his talks and interviews.

It's funny how Bilderberg resembles the in-your-face version of all the supposedly nutty globalist conspiracies, but it's still kooky to talk about it. I can feel Jones' anger sometimes. Try to point out obvious things and people look at you like deer in the headlights.Icke is too off-hook for me, though. Even if he's right about some things, a guy who talks about Reptoid People (!) is the worst advertising you can get yourself. And proper marketing should be one of our chief concerns right now.

Personally, I agree. But if he says something profound like "water is wet" or "cake tastes good" I won't reject those ideas just because he has some weird ideas about lizard people.

Probably because you can learn those things yourself or from one of the billions of people who don't have weird ideas about lizard people.

What is crazier, talking about the Reptoid bloodline or including KRS-One & Professor Griff of Public Enemy as reputable sources in your documentary about Barack Obama?
Many people are to quick to judge the person rather than what is being put forth. Pythagoras and Isaac Newton had a plethora of nutty ideas, but if I recall correctly some of their thoughts were pretty valuable. If Ludwig von Mises was actually Dr Doom, Human action would still be a profound valuable book and if Keynes was actually as good a guy as The Flash (maybe his super hero name would be inflator man?) his ideas would still be bunk in economics. Substance over style is a very rare gift for people to have, and it can get one ostrasized.
Let us look then and see, how they manage their concerns- they for whose cause we are to labor, devote ourselves, and grow enthusiastic

Probably. Not definitely.
Historically, the greatest thinkers, were also some of the biggest weirdos. The socialization to avoid controversy is about dumbing us down, by making us reject anything that conflicts with the party paradigm. It works great Make people afraid of different ideas. Not unlike how some churches throughout history used shame and the idea of sin to shape personal behaviour.
It's low cost for the people who benefit from a population dumbed down by getting everyone to self-censor.

It amazes me how people chuckle at the irony of 50's style propaganda while not realizing how much they fall into modern day propaganda
