Its a slap on the face of human achievement and spirit. Instead give them back by turning every light on and put bumper stickers on your cars saying I love my fellow human beings more than a bunch of trees.

The People's Cube has it right here:

"North Korea: Earth Hour world champions."

I had never heard of that site, so I looked around a bit.  Seems to be typical of American 'conservative' thought.  I found this joke on the side interesting:

"A Proud Family Tradition: The McClellans Stabbing wartimes Presidents in the back since 1864".   Things like this remind me why alot of libertarians hate the American right.

Don't just turn them on.  Blink them.

We should punch someone's lights out, instead.

How about Bernanke?

I participated without consenting to it. They shut down my internet connection for an hour :(

Does that make me one of them? I hope not.

You're telling us that telephone companies participated in this madness? What a joke.

And sicsemper, The People's Cube is the right-wing bloodhound for any leftist hypocrisy, but don't expect them to even acknowledge the possibility of Republicans doing bad things.

Don't even get me started on this!  I just got back from picking up a pizza and it's a blizzard out, despite the fact that it's been nice and warm for the past number of weeks.  DURR HURR STOP GLOBAL WARMING.  Why not try to stop global cooling, like in the '70s?

That's actually the Dear Leader himself, because he literally glows with the glory of socialism.

Once again South Park is right, smug is way more annoying than smog.

Let us look then and see, how they manage their concerns- they for whose cause we are to labor, devote ourselves, and grow enthusiastic
