Harvard has turned my claim that liberalism is literally insanity - liberals are divorced from reality and no matter how many times over how many centuries their policies fail, they continue to support them - and asks if libertarianism is mental illness. Too funny. Since libertarianism has never failed, and it created the greatest country the world has ever known, the answer is no. This conference proves liberalism is insanity because these people think the free market failed despite that our money system is 100 percent socialist institution, our income tax is Marxist and government policies created the subprime housing market.
As funny as this is, it's still dangerous. I predict this is the first volley in a coordinated effort by the academic left to brainwash college students into thinking that anybody who supports free markets has a mental problem, thereby dismissing any free market argument from debate.
First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win. Said Gandhi. We're one step closer to victory then, as it seems?
do we get free cheezeburger in socielism?
Consider me insane.
This reminds me of Yuri Maltsev's "Inflation and the Bolsheviks" lecture, wherein he mentioned that there was a symptom listed in a textbook that the negation of obvious achievements of the Soviet Union was a mental disease.
Sphairon: First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win. Said Gandhi. We're one step closer to victory then, as it seems?
Liberals are refusing to fight on the field of ideas, and this sounds like an attempt to wrap ridicule in the trappings of academia. All to avoid the process Ghandi described. It'll be interesting to see how liberals continue to blame the free market for the next 4 years, but they will.
There is no character, howsoever good and fine, but can be destroyed by ridicule, howsoever poor and witless. Observe the ass, for instance; his character is about perfect, he is the choicest spririt among all the humbler animals; yet see what ridicule has brought him to. Instead of feeling complimented when we are called an ass, we are left in doubt.

ROFL @ fezwhatley's pic. And she'll be the first person sent to the Anti-Obesity Re-Education Camp when the idiot leftists she adores are put in charge.
It's so typical of arrogant pampered liberals to assume that anyone who disagrees with them must suffer from a mental disorder. They can't take our arguments head on, so this is what they have to resort to.
From the Cato article (this is hysterical)
The conference schedule features presentations such as “How Thinking Like an Economist Undermines Community”
LOL!
Reminded me of this:
This is pretty amusing. If anyone comes across any videos or transcripts or posts covering this, please share.

It's nowhere near a 'first volley'. The academic left has been active, and horribly effective, in higher education in the USA for well over 70 years now.
Danno, repeating history

"Are you coming to bed?"
"No, this is important"
"What?"
"Someone is wrong on the internet."

Sadly Harvard and many other colleges are the reason people like Mr.1001nights exist...
