Juan:
I beg your pardon ?

I just felt the generalization was leaving me out, as I'm not conservative, yet I am on this forum  :(

It's fine.  I come to expect you natural elites to guide me.

What a cryptic remark.

To darkness I condemn you...

I didn't mean that all moderators are conservative -- I'm not sure I made any generalization. I said "increasing the supply of moderators" is not a conservative policy. I guess you can complain about it being a lame joke if you want...

February 17 - 1600 - Giordano Bruno is burnt alive by the catholic church.
Aquinas : "much more reason is there for heretics, as soon as they are convicted of heresy, to be not only excommunicated but even put to death."

lol, it's fine, my attempt at humor was also lame...

I guess I should become an economist, then I wouldn't need to worry about making good jokes Idea

WHEN DID GILES BECAME A MODERATOR????

WHAT IS GOING ON?? WHERE IS IRENICUS??

You've only been here for a week or so.  Slow down.

Also, we're all just Irenicus sock puppets.  There is only one moderator.  There can only be one.

May I note that Brainpolice is also a moderator.

Yes, although I've never used any powers (at best, I've accidentally started to edit someone's post when I meant to reply to it, so there were a few times when I actually accidentally wiped someone's original post clean with my own response to it - in their name).

No, I don't think I do, unless you're some troll I banned (and will re-ban if that is so, and you resume your antics), and consequently I will not.

Nonetheless, the point remains. It's very easy to make videos on Youtube, nobody who does so is hugely educated and it's easier to control what you reply to.

You might want to rethink that, considering that the Mises Institute has put up a number of videos there.

Meh, it really depends.  I would agree with Giles largley on the videos that almost feel like video diaries of opinions & strawmen, rather than attempts at debate, responses to debate, or just simple video accounts of offline lectures that ocurred.

I agree with you that a blanket statement of saying "because you are on youetube", or implying that "because they are stuck on youtube" is incorrect, however.
