I'm curious is there are some non-austrians worth reading such as:

-Vernon Smith (two great interviews with him on EconTalk)

-Joseph Stiglitz

-Robert Lucas

-Gary Becker

-George Stigler

-Robert A Mundell

All of the ones on your list as well as Kenneth Arrow and James Buchanan.

Yes, Buchanan is a good mention. How could the list omit Friedman though?!

How dare you suggest we read the work of a dyed-in-the-wool communist like Friedman! Don't you know he supported such socialist measures as school vouchers and a negative income tax?

Correction: He was redeeming.  That was published in 1997.  He is still a socialist.

Do you have evidence that he no longer believes what he wrote and what is the official statute of limitations on whether some "is" or "was" redeeming?

I'm not saying I'm a fan and likely disagree with ninety-nine percent of the stuff he writes, but I'm sure there are exceptions like the piece I linked to.

Maybe I misunderstood the question....are we just naming people who have ever said things we agree with?
