Byzantine:If you incur a debt
The woman incurs no debt. If you believe she does, show it. No, repeating over and over and over and over and over that she created a state of dependency for the fetus does not show that she incurs a debt.
Knight_of_BAAWA:I always love that tinge of hatred of sex. Oh don't go denying it now.
Byzantine:Ah yes, the time-honored personal attack.
Ah yes, the time-honored misconception of what a personal attack is.
Seriously, got a good-looking cousin? I'll lay her down and lick her like a popsicle. Me and my sex-hating self.

If you didn't, you wouldn't have any reason to have made such a statement as you did. So please don't lie to me. Your words betray you.
Says you. Again, in the spirit of scholarly discourse I stand ready to test your assertion that I hate sex with any one of your female relatives of sufficient attractiveness.
Byzantine:Says you.
Says your words. Not my problem that you revealed a bit of your deeper psyche.
Byzantine: It is not an arms-length transaction because the fetus is unable to bargain for more favorable terms and is in this state, again, solely due to the mother's own conduct. If she doesn't want a baby inside her, then she can have her tubes tied or not engage in baby-making activities. Do you know how hard it is to get any physician to tie a woman’s tubes that has never had a child? Or is not married and under the age of 40? Even if she has children, and is not married and under 40 years old it is almost impossible to find someone to tie your tubes!

That doesn't preclude the latter option, though.
Byzantine: If she doesn't want a baby inside her, then she can have her tubes tied or not engage in baby-making activities. Oh please. As if the woman alone is responsible for creating a baby.

Sometimes "majority" simply means that all the fools are on the same side

That's certainly fair. Men who don't want to pay for babies can get vasectomies or keep their pants zipped.
It seems you are trying to make a comparison that cannot be made. From the perspective of the child, you are asking whether the child would prefer no life to a life with disabilities. It is a comparison that cannot be made. None of us know what "no life" would be like. None of us have experienced "no life" so we cannot express a true preference for it.

I take it you've never heard of condoms, then.
Knight_of_BAAWA: I take it you've never heard of condoms, then.
I have. There is very, very little I haven't heard of at age 45.
I do not oppose birth control, but an unplanned pregnancy alone does not justify an abortion, in my opinion.
Libertarians should not go around against abortion. It is a loser issue.0

And ketchup on eggs is disgusting, in my opinion. Understand?
Knight_of_BAAWA: And ketchup on eggs is disgusting, in my opinion. Understand?
That is a trite statement. Wars are fought over differences of opinion.
