Copyright law said the fed don't have monopoly rights over their own content.

Yes.  I would tend to believe this is true.  However, there is no reason why they would follow the law, nor does any American have any recourse against a government that can call them a terrorist and send them to Gitmo if you get too close to the truth.

There are numerous cases against the government that have never been heard, and never will be heard.  We have to continue to challenge them in the town square, because they own the court rooms, lock stock and barrel.

The link was more for the people wanting to post video/text replies. Sorry I quoted you. Never again.

lol

No worries.  I thought you were implying that I actually was going to do something with Obama's video and you were setting me off.

I would be absolutely stunned if Obama even allows text responses, let alone video responses. If they do initially allow it, they'll like either start censoring or ban it altogether within the first couple videos.

I completely support this idea. That is exactly what democracy is all about.

GilesStratton:

To be honest this whole idea of Obama posting videos on Youtube strikes me as somewhat similar to the Orwellian telescreen. During this campaign season I've really been reminded of the fact that despite all his flaws, Orwell's Nineteen Eighty - Four (alongside the rest of his work actually) was a great piece of literature and above all else chillingly true, if only people stop thinking of it as a prediction.

I am just rereading that book. What an accurate observation. I guess half the nation will sit in front of youtube once a week following the 5 minutes of Obama.
