*(I apologize if posting about a torrent site breaks any forum rules; if it does, please message me asap so I can delete it before it becomes a possible issue)

This is mainly a heads-up type of post, as I'm not sure how many may or may not have accounts (let alone heard of) over at Waffles.FM, one of two prominent Oink "replacements" that sprung up to fill the void of OiNK's shut down last October.

Sadly, and this is the major pitfall here: you must be invited to the site via email in order to become a member. I myself have 3 potential invites, but cannot use them currently.

*waffles.fm is here: http://waffles.fm

*Info on OiNK here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OiNK

The requirements are basically that any e-books (or audiobooks) uploaded, should be ones that have been published, so take a PDF file of say, a self-published book (like any of Kevin Carson's works) & uploading it would be breaking the site' rules & promptly get your account banned.

However, take something like Rothbard's various works, which have been published by publishing companies, & I'd imagine it would be in line with the site's rules. I plan on trying to amass a few books to upload, but here is why this is actually a big deal:

During Book Week, bonus points are given to those who both upload books (10 points per file), & download books (3 points per file). This has led to a book frenzy at the site, so I'd imagine this would an interesting opportunity to upload libertarian and/or anarchistic materials.

If anyone who is already a member there, this is probably not a new idea, but for anyone who has friends in the know about Waffles.fm, this might help.

I'm also thinking that if anyone has any e-books (PDF's) of libertarian and/or anarchistic literature, that has been officially published (non-published, automatically free PDF's are not allowed since they are already accessible, I'm thinking), feel free to post links to them here, message me, or email me: nitroadict at gmail.com, so that I can possibly upload them myself :D

* 'at' means @; so spammers do not catch wind of my e-mail.

What do you think?  I thought this might be a fairly good idea considering that everyone on the mentioned site will be downloading massive amounts of books during "Book Week".

I've been thinking along these lines for a while. I've been meaning to try and get a waffles invite for a while now but I'm already on what.cd which is good enough for me. However I've been thinking about this for a while now, I looked on what.cd to find what audiobooks and ebooks they had, IIRC they had a Rothbard audiobook and some Rand PDFs but that was about it.

The problem is that as much I would love to upload every single PDF available on Mises.org, any material that can be downloaded for free on the internet isn't allowed. But if you could show me where I can get libertarian/ anarchist ebooks that I would have to pay for I'd love to help.

If you would like an invite in order to dl it, lemme know....It is basically the same thing as Oink, but I have found it to be much wealthier in resources.
