Does anyone have a good article on supply and demand?  I need to do a short commentary on one for my economics class.

That's a pretty broad question... what specifically are you looking for? What are your requirements?

An article that has something to do with the supply, demand, and price for a scarce resource.  Ideally, the economic evaluation should not have been done, yet.

http://www.econessays.com/IBhomepage.htm has some examples (although some appear to be lacking a good dose of austrian economics).

I've just read the first two chapters of MES and it covers it very well.

Do you do the IB?

Sorry, won't work.  But it looks good.Smile

It should ideally be a newspaper article on a current event, in which the economic analysis has not been done.

Find an online newspaper (e.g. freep.com) and find an article about the price of gasoline. Shouldn't be too hard. Then discuss how Saudi Arabia's break away from OPEC has increased supply while economic hardships have decreased demand.

Ok, so the topic is gas prices.Smile

There's also this http://mises.org/story/931 ?

Art Caden does a number of articles on price controls and their effect, look for those in daily article perhaps?

"Power and Market" by Murray Rothbard contains a nice analysis of how price regulation negatively affects supply and demand. You should look at the triangular intervention chapter. It will certainly be something new to the unaccustomed.
