Obviously, mises.org and lewrockwell.com are good places.

The only other places I go on a usual basis are:

naturalnews.com

rense.com

sometimes infowars.com

What are some other good websites for news?

I usually read mainstream news with a grain of salt, soetimes I go to lewrockwell.com, but all the natural health stuff and so on is turning me off. Mostly I make my own headlines in my own life by being awesome as much as I can, sadly though, it is not going too well, and I might be forced to quit being awesome due to time restraints and the high failure rates I've been experiencing. I might take up blogging, which would surely end any spree of being awesome in less than a second, and any dignity with it.

But yeah, if you're awesome by nature, I'd recommend making your own headlines.

I barely even follow the news. If I see a big headline on a newspaper stand, I'll probably look it up. The only time I watch network news is when there is a big event - Michael Jackson. Often times I have friends ask me "did you hear about such and such"? And most time I have no idea what they are talking about. I keep up with sports news regularly though, particularly football.

One place I don't miss is Peter Schiff on youtube:

He updates almost daily with a 5 to 10 minute video.

I'm a paid subscriber to GN's website.  It's like $15 or $20 / month.  Worth every penny.

If you read Lew Rockwell's site then you know who Gary North is.

I am subscriber to Newsweek and Time.  I used to subscribe to The Economist (now I just check online).  Every once in a while I also visit cnn.com.

Do you pay for online access?

For a spell, I read each Economist from cover to cover.  It played a huge role in my shift to laissez-faire liberalism.  Now its economic fallacies drive me crazy, and I can hardly stand reading it.

Still, in terms of style, best writers in the business, in my opinion.

Jokingly, me and couple of friends refer to The Economist as The Communist.

For news, I just browse through some of my favorite blogs. Lewrockwell.com, Cafe Hayek, couple of Finnish ones and Bob Murphy's one. I rarely, if ever, read newspapers or watch TV news. If I read anything on mainstream media, it's articles I find via blogs, or I get linked to by friends online.  I'm too lazy to actually go to a webpage and look for news - they must be brought to me.

In seriousness, I share my sentiments on The Economist with Lilburne.

In the UK I enjoyed Standpoint magazine over a cup of coffee: http://www.standpointmag.co.uk/

Online, one of my favourites is EU Referendum: http://eureferendum.blogspot.com

I don't, although since they restricted the availability of a lot of their features to subscribers, maybe I should.  I too originally subscribed due to their laissez-faire perspectives, but for the past year I have been pretty disgusted at what they have been publishing and so I decided not to renew with them.  I am currently looking for another mainstream economics magazine/journal, but haven't found one yet.  It's interesting, because The Economist remains relatively laissez-faire when it comes to labor markets, but then makes a radical shift in policy when talking about the financial sector.

daily:

http://seeker401.wordpress.com/ :  this site mainly complies mainstream media news that focuses on the money deals globally such as where the corporations go to set-up investment deals, where new mining is occurring, contract deals between countries to open up natural resource trade deals, political interventions that deal with money (when is it not a political economy), and IMF and other global institutions actions.  Of course recently the big news has been about the Climate Center documents and emails complying all the news that is coming out of this event.  It's a blogger from Australia.

mises.org, LewRockwell.com, on and off Freeadvice.com (Bob Murphy's blog), on and off with infowars.com, and on and off MohawkNationNews
