So right now, some say we are poised on the brink of hyperinflation. They make a good case.

This will not be the first time hyperinflation has happened. What have people done in the past to insulate themselves against these kinds of depressions? Conversely, what are some mistakes people can make?

All thoughts and musings welcome.
