I think we should completely eschew the very idea of economic schools of thought. We shouldn't be drawing ideological battle lines, instead, we should be fighting between good and bad economics.

...between good and bad economics.

The only problem then is that people don't take us seriously.

People don't take others seriously when they begin to babble about some dead old guys like Keynes and when they attempt to divide economics up into little sects.

The Logical School?

I like this one, since while it is not as accurate as "The Praxeological School", it is close enough to the true nature of the school and gives a good indication of its subject matter, while being quite snappy. It's much better in that regard than "causal-realistic" too.

Praxeological School is best, I agree, but if you wanted to interest the casual voter in Austrian Economics it should have a name that connotes success and legitimacy. "Praxeological" would require most to scurry for the dictionary

A brief look at the wikipedia page shows that other names have included The Vienna School, & The Psychological School.  I actually think the later possible label is a good candidate, concerning how the austrian school is concentrated on the subjective theory of value & centered around human action & praxeologly, which can & usually utilizes a good amount of existing psychology to help explain concepts (specifically the concept of time preference).

IMO, austrian econ mirrors memetics (which utilizes various sciences typically different from one another) in being a sort of amalgamation of various schools of thought & study (in this case: economics, psychology, philosophy, etc.).

Another example of such an amalgamation could also be Howard Bloom's omnology

I think a solid alternative label would have to take into account the other possible labels of The Logical School, The Psychological School, & The Subjectivist Realistic School labels.  Perhaps The Action School might also be a valid name?

It's an interesting little project for one to think about, regardless, but I also seriously think that such an alternative name may not be usable until a good amount of austrian econ students / economists, while not diverging from Austrian econ totally, begin to amass differing concepts & theories that while rooted in austrain econ, eventually outgrow the previous label*.

*No, I'm not referring to something like 'Post-Austrian', although that label would also be a possible candidate, albeit still carrying the puzzling if somewhat historical accurate namesake of Austrian econ's roots.

This reminds me...last wednesday I went to my first libertarian seminary in my city (Recife, northeast coast of Brazil), then I made a comment during the time we could ask/comment things with the speaker, and I mentioned Mises, the guy was totes surprised a journalist student would know about Mises, and I answered "Im austrian!" and my gf looked at me with a "LOL WUT?" face.
