Does anyone know of a good/definitive "unbiased" English, well sourced, fairly all encompassing, scholarly, and showing the archaeology history of Phoenicia?
Books that I do not think cover this: Phoenicia: Lebanon's epic heritage by Sanford Holst, or most likely any other book that suggests the title Arabic, Lebanon, or indicates some association with the west or modern idea
Help would be greatly appreciated, and possibly mildly monetaraly rewarded if the suggestion is good enough.
Let us look then and see, how they manage their concerns- they for whose cause we are to labor, devote ourselves, and grow enthusiastic

I'm no expert, but I happen to be sorta reading this about warfare in that period and area. Maybe a scholar can chime in and tell you or I if it sucks.

It seems fairly comprehensive and introduces a lot of important and surprising details. This is way out of my area of expertise, so much of it is new to me. But introduced coherently and approachable.
luckily, you can download the pdf from scribd.
