John Locke on self-ownership

I've tried searching this site and the whole internet, and I cannot find John Locke's precise defense of self-ownership (if he gave one). It appears that Locke justified self-ownership as a God-given right, i.e., he defended it on theonomistic grounds. Was that indeed the case?
