This notion that Obama is a socialist or that the democratic party will bring socialism into the American government is absolutely ridiculous, but even worse to me, is the aggressive TONE in which conservatives choose to oppose a simple change in the American taxing system, health care policy and foreign politics.

I say this because Obama is simply proposing to switch the dial in these issues, just barely towards the middle class and in favor of effective world diplomacy. But to radically call this socialism, or portray Obama as a weak defender of this nation that "pals with terrorists", simply reflects that conservatives and republicans have nothing else to defend themselves with, and that their last resort is to dangerously instigate a violent reaction among their supporters that parallels that generally seen in radical Islam and AlQeada.

It is ok to disagree, but to use words socialist, terrorists and un-american is a sign of weakness, and it is CLEARLY NOT what the rest of american people believe. That's why they are down in the polls.

Thanks Ruben for clearly pointing out that an effective leader like Dr Hammer can make it "possible to do business in any political system".

I see the same virtue in Obama, someone CAPABLE of bringing people together for a common goal, for an effective transaction. Maybe due to his intellectual capacity, level-headedness or maybe by pure personality. Whatever it may be, people like Obama and Dr Hammer are what this whole world and especially this country is hungry for.
