It was an option in the Debian Etch installer so I didn't need to configure anything, it was setup automatically.</p> <p>Of course, there are also other ways to do this. I run Linux and so am minimally concerned about trojans stealing data, but if my laptop were stolen there are personally and commercially sensitive data that I would want to be unreadable.</p> <p>I would prefer to encrypt the entire drive (root partition included) and have found mixed reports as to the possibility of this, so I would like to hear the straight story on harddisk encryption.</p> <p>Thanks!</p> <div style="clear:both;"></div><img src="http://mises.org/Community/aggbug.aspx?PostID=9136" width="1" height="1">
